MAINSTREAM NEWSPAPER ARTICLE ON NDE'S IS ALL WRONG! CAN NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES BE EXPLAINED BY PURELY PHYSICAL CAUSES? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

IT seems like every other week mainstream newspapers - names of the papers not important - trumpet some new study claiming that some researcher has found a simple physiological explanation for near death experiences. This week newspapers throughout the world have been reporting the issue as having been settled by the research of Dr Lakhmir Chawla who they say has discovered that near death experiences are caused by “a surge of electrical activity triggered by the brain in the moments before death” which caused vivid mental hallucinations. If they had read Dr Lakmir’s original research published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine they would know that he had observed this effect on only 7 patients, none of whom was able to report a near death experience since they all died. The report shows that this uninformed Dr Lakmir is merely SPECULATING that people who had this surge of electrical activity MIGHT have had a near death experience!!!

'PSYCHIC DETECTIVES'. POLICE CHIEF MAKES A FOOL OF HIMSELF - and denigrates the Los Angeles Police Department : His name is Capt. John Salvino, Van Nuys Police Station, Foothill Division LAPD - we are informed in the television series 'PSYCHIC DETECTIVES' that this uninformed, Captain Salvino ordered the arrest of Etta Smith (pictured left) - a 'psychic-medium' who voluntarily assisted the police to find a murder victim. Why did he arrest her? Because, as a gifted psychic she was able to use her psychic powers to locate the body of a 31 year old nurse, Melanie Uribe. This police Capt.'s pathetic inferior rationale was words to the effect, that 'if she knew where the body is, then she is connected to the murder.' Now, the victim was RAPED and assaulted. Do you believe this most inferior, idiotic and most amateurish analysis by a LAPD police Captain? Detective Lee Ryan sympathized with Etta Smith and was a star witness for her when Etta Smith successfully sued LAPD for wrongful arrest. The murderers of the nurse were caught when someone reported them. If the police captain did not follow protocol then this police captain himself should have paid the damages to the medium. So, I strongly suggest the LAPD to organize a syllabus for police recruits about the significant role of gifted mediums in solving crimes.

'PSYCHIC DETECTIVE' - Christine Morgan: We received a report that mental medium/psychic Christine Morgan was able to assist in finding a missing person. Silvana, someone dear to me and Wendy, told us of this most interesting item: "A friend of mine, panic stricken and upset, rang me from interstate (Adelaide, South Australia) telling me her mother in her 80's, who is visiting Australia and does not speak English had gone missing and the police were involved in trying to locate her. Urgently I rang Christine in Sydney for help - could she help locate my friend's mother? Christine, after a fairly short pause said that she would call back. When she did Christine described a long street opposite a museum where she could see rows of bus stops and where she was confident the missing mother could be found. Christine said "I also see her with the police, she'll be found and will be safe." Silvana rang this information through to her friend and asked her to go with the Police to the location described which was very close to the city centre. Not too long afterwards the police found the elderly lady, sitting at a bus stop bench amongst the rows of bus stops on that very long street, opposite the museum that Christine had described. Well done Christine! And thank you Silvana for the worthy news item.

XENOGLOSSY- SPEAKING A LANGUAGE NOT LEARNED - after an accident or medical operation.
According to recent news reports there has been another case of the strange phenomenon of Xenoglossy- the ability to speak a language never learned (See chapter 25).

The unnamed girl, who comes from the town of Knin in Croatia, had just begun to study German before an accident sent her into a coma. Though she had been shaky in the basic language when she went under, when she came back out of the coma she was fluent in German, and could no longer understand or speak her native language, Croatian.

“In earlier times this would have been referred to as a miracle, we prefer to think that there must be a logical explanation – its just that we haven’t found it yet,” Dr. Mijo Milas, a psychiatric expert consulted about the case, said. “There are references to cases where people who have been seriously ill and perhaps in a coma have woken up being able to speak other languages – sometimes even the Biblical languages such as that spoken in old Babylon or Egypt – at the moment though any speculation would remain just that – speculation – so it’s better to continue tests until we actually know something.”

Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) CONTACT PREDICTS DEATH

An established EVP researcher writes:

" Over the past week or so my Aunt has been coming into my EVP sessions saying hello to me even though she was still very much alive and well. In other words, she and I were conversing back and forth via EVP. But after she came in a few times I called up my mom to tell her that I think my aunt is going to die sometime within the next few days. My mother said "that's impossible because she is fine!" and so on... but she then contacted my brother and complained to him about me saying that my aunt was going to die soon whereupon my brother sent me an email about this basically to scold me. This happened last Tues. April 27th. Anyway, my aunt passed away yesterday -- with the exception of her arthritis, she was for all practical purposes doing quite well. Her death came as a surprise to everyone, except me."

SPIRIT LIGHT IN GERMANY
One of the most striking experiences of the famous Scole Experiments was the presence of spirit lights- a phenomena often reported in the past. So it is exciting to read in a report dated 29th April 2010 of the Felix Circle in Germany that a spirit light had been observed in an experiment with the Swiss medium Medium Bea Ruebli. Here's an extract:

09.40 pm – 0944 pm: ...the sitters have discovered a pale illuminated area at the ceiling. More and more sitters see it and then a large excitement arouses, because a light can be seen by all traveling the whole experimentation area of approx. 14 feet, vanishing and reappearing frequently. It's color is white and it is moving like an insect. Then it moves closer and closer to some sitters that their faces become visible by the shining of the small light. Over minutes the sitters are cheering and applauding spontaneously very excited. Sitters moreover declare, that the light is accompanied by a palpable cold breeze or area!

Several readers this week flagged an article about NDEs in a popular English newspaper...

A boy of three claims he saw his great grandmother in heaven while he was clinically dead after falling into a pond. Paul Eicke came back to life more than three hours after his heart stopped beating. It is believed he was in the pond at his grandparents' house for several minutes before his grandfather saw him and pulled him out. His father gave him heart massage and mouth-to-mouth during the ten minutes it took a helicopter to arrive. The boy said that while unconscious he saw his great grandmother Emmi, who had turned him back from a gate and urged him to go back to his parents. Paul said: 'There was a lot of light and I was floating. I came to a gate and I saw Grandma Emmi on the other side. 'She said to me, "What are you doing here Paul? You must go back to mummy and daddy. I will wait for you here." 'I knew I was in heaven. But grandma said I had to come home. She said that I should go back very quickly.
